    Day 1 PARIS – NEVERS
    Travelling from Paris, board your private barge in the humble town of Nevers in the afternoon. After comfortably settling into your cabin, meet your crew and fellow travellers with welcome cocktails and dinner on board. In the evening, embark on a romantic tour of Nevers before spending the evening as you wish. (L, D)

    Take in the gorgeous surrounds of the region with this morning’s guided tour of Nevers, including a visit to the iconic Ducal Palace. Stroll through the remarkably preserved old quarter, with its half-timbered houses and picturesque streets, before reaching the Nevers Cathedral, a national monument of France. After a brief visit to the Nevers Blue Gold pottery district, enjoy a local produce tasting before we continue along the river towards Marseilles-lès-Aubigny. (B, L, D)

    A visit to the Fontmorigny Abbey will be the impressive start to your day today before continuing with a visit to Apremont-sur-Allier and its floral garden, known to be one of the most awe-inspiring villages in France. Afterwards, return on board and continue towards Chapelle Montlinard and an outstanding view of the Val de Loire Natural Reserve. The evening is yours to discover the unique abundance of nature, culture and heritage of the area and remain in port overnight. (B, L, D)

    Today, begin with a tour of La Charité-sur-Loire and the priory, one of the most important restoration sites in Burgundy for the past 15 years. Afterwards, visit a farm deep in the countryside and experience the rustic calm and authenticity that can be found only in France. In the evening, cruise towards Ménétréol-sous-Sancerre and remain here for the night. (B, L, D)

    Take a tour of Pouilly-sur-Loire this morning and visit the impressive Tour de Pouilly-Fumé – a wine centre located in a beautiful setting. Visit the extensive vineyards, the wine cellar and enjoy a delectable wine tasting. Back on water, continue towards Léré and spend the evening at leisure. (B, L, D)

    Day 6 LÉRÉ – BRIARE
    Today visit Sancerre, a historic Berry region overlooking the Loire Valley. Afterwards, visit an authentic goat farm and take part in the tasting of its trademark cheeses along with the local Sancerre wine. Spend the afternoon cruising to Briare and through the Briare Aqueduct – one of the longest navigable aqueducts in the world before attending a gala evening dinner on board. (B, L, D)

    Day 7 BRIARE – PARIS
    After enjoying the last hearty buffet breakfast on board, prepare to disembark and travel by mini-coach back to Paris where the tour comes to an end. (B)
