    Hobbiton movie set
Join us and experience the real Middle-earth™ at the Hobbiton™ Movie Set, where, in the heart of the Waikato region, you can step into the lush pastures of the Shire™, as seen in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies. Fall in love with the Alexander family sheep farm, just as acclaimed director Sir Peter Jackson did, as you journey through the unequivocal beauty of the land, with the mighty Kaimai Ranges towering in the distance. Your guide will then escort you around the set, showing the intricate detailing, pointing out the most famous locations and explaining how the movie magic was made. You will be fully guided around the 12 acre set; past Hobbit Holes™, the Mill and into the world-famous Green Dragon™ Inn, where you will be presented with a complimentary, exclusive Hobbit™ Southfarthing™ beverage to conclude your own Middle-earth™ adventure.

    Wai, Kai and Relax Pass
At Mitai Maori Village, witness displays of weaponry and combat shown through cultural performance. Listen to legendary tales, and feast on a delicious hangi. Be enthralled by the warriors in traditional dress as they paddle an ancient waka down the Wai-o-whiro stream. Don’t miss your only opportunity whilst in the Rotorua area to see glow worms in their natural habitat. The Mitai Maori Village cultural performances transport visitors back to a time when the ancient Maori customs and traditions were part of everyday life. Songs, dances, myths and legends will give you an insight to our fascinating past.

Along with enjoying this emotional and powerful experience, any visit to Rotorua, must include our geothermal healing waters. The Polynesian Spa continues to evolve and focus on health and wellness, introducing passive and active bathing experiences for increased immunity and greater energy levels. Entrance to the Deluxe Lake Spa, offers 5 mineral pools, and a plunge pool, premium changing facilities including towels, lockers and beautiful soap and shampoo, and access to the large indoor relaxation lounge.

    Napier Triple Chocolate Dipper Tour
The only comprehensive chocolate museum in the southern hemisphere it tells the story of a food whose past is as rich as its flavour, bringing it to life with colourfully-illustrated texts, life sized tableaux complete with sound effects, and a huge collection of chocolate paraphernalia dating from a 2000-year-old Mayan chocolate pot to modern commercial gimmicks. From legendary days when Aztec deity Quetzalcoatl gave man the ‘food of the gods’, it follows chocolate to Europe where it became the fashionable drink of the well-to-do then in Victorian times suffered the indignity of additives such as brick dust, arsenic and seashells, before the eventual emergence of big scale manufacturers with familiar names like Cadbury and Hersey’s who took chocolate to the masses. There is a fascinating array of items all connected with history of chocolate. Included are 400-year-old South American Chocolate pots, fine European china and silver, beautifully-crafted boxes, long handled muddlers to spoon the thick melted chocolate ‘drink’ favoured by early European connoisseurs, and curiosities such as a 1900’s American chocolate machine which for a cent dispensed a chocolate drop.
This is self-guided, allow anywhere from 30 mins to 2 hours (depending on your level of chocoholic addiction) to fully take in the history of chocolate from Bean to Bar.
