Itinerary
Days 1-2
Sail from Amsterdam to Flåm, Norway. An opportunity to kayak the glassy waters of Aurlandsfjord, and marvel at the serenity of Sognefjord, winding 136 miles into Norway.
Day 3
This morning awaken to Bergen with its collection of fine old restored waterfront warehouses hosing boutiques and eateries.
Day 4
Picture-postcard Geiranger nestles into a crook of Geirangerfjord, where Seven Sisters Waterfall takes an 800-foot plunge.
Day 5
In Trondheim ride the narrow-gauge Thamshavn Railway for a steep and winding climb to the copper mines high above Trondheimsfjord.
Days 6-7
Cross the Arctic Circle, arriving in Honningsvåg. Mail cards with the coveted Nordkapp postmark, then cruise the windswept North Cape.
Days 8-11
These days at sea bring you to Ålesund, famous for its Art Nouveau architecture, and to Eidfjord for waterfall viewing and a scenic cruise of Hardangerfjord.
Days 12-14
The high point in Stavanger: viewing 2,000-foot-high Pulpit Rock from a helicopter. A final day at sea to have a massage before arriving in Amsterdam.
