After months of speculation, Air New Zealand have announced their latest long-haul destination – they will commence thrice weekly direct services between Auckland and Chicago, effective from 30 Nov 2018.
NZ 787-9 aircraft will operate the Auckland-Chicago year-round service, which has a northbound flight time or around 15 hours, and just over 16 hours southbound.
It’s the first new destination from New Zealand to the USA since 2015 when Auckland to Houston launched and this is great news for Kiwis travelling to the USA, with even more options now in place.
In addition, United Airlines has announced it will extend its seasonal service between Auckland and San Francisco to year-round from Apr 2019.
