From the moment you land at Phuket airport, we will be with you every step of the way on your Best of Thailand Holiday. If this is your first holiday to Thailand, don’t stress. Our driver will be waiting at the arrival gate holding a sign with your name.

At 8:30 am you will be greeted by your guide in the hotel lobby to start a day of cultural discovery in Phuket. First, you will visit the Big Buddha – an enormous Buddha statue on the top of a hill with sweeping panoramic views of the southern coast of Phuket. Next, you will head to Wat Chalong, which is home to the largest and most revered buddhist temple on the island. Clear the memory on your phone and get your camera ready as we depart for Rang Hill where more spectacular views are on offer. Lunch will then be served in a local Thai restaurant. Following lunch we move on to Old Phuket Town – a quaint pocket of Phuket with narrow streets lined with shops and restaurants. The buildings here are bright and colourful, the architecture a wonderful mix of Sino-Portuguese and contemporary Vietnamese. Your guide will provide detailed information on the history of this enchanting area, before letting you roam free to explore the streets and stop in at any shops that piqued your interest. At 4pm you will head back to your hotel.

You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning before heading off for an ethical wildlife adventure. This is a join-in activity with join-in transfers. A light breakfast will be served at the elephant sanctuary while a video presentation on the history and plight of Asian elephants is played. You will then have the great privilege of feeding one of the rescued elephants his or her breakfast. Next, your tour guide will teach you about the intricate behavioural and communication patterns of elephants, before you have the chance to explore the 30-acre sanctuary to witness the elephants roaming free, playing, and having a deep soak in the bath. After a vegetarian buffet lunch, your guide will teach you about the important role water plays in treating old and injured elephants at the new hydrotherapy pool. The day wraps up by preparing supplementary elephant food and giving it to your giant new friends, before sitting down for a vegetarian dinner yourself. A private transfer then takes you back to the hotel.

You will be picked up from your hotel at 8 am in anticipation for this tantalising culinary adventure. The first stop is the vibrant, bustling local market – a true Thai experience – where a knowledgeable guide will provide an explanation of Thai spices, vegetables and fruits that are essential to Thai cuisine. Next, you will head to the cooking school to learn how to make 5 different Thai dishes. The chef will also teach you the either the basics of fruit carving or the process of making coconut milk – a staple for many of the Thai curries. It’s now to sit down to enjoy the feast of amazing dishes you prepared. Upon leaving, you will be given the recipes of the dishes you created so you can cook them time and time again for friends and family. It’s now time to head back to your hotel by private transfer.

Day at leisure

You will be picked up in a join-in transfer at your hotel between 7-7:30 am to kick off this day of underwater exploration. You will board the speedboat at around 8:30 am and skim across the green waters to the Surin Islands – an archipelago of 5 islands in the glorious Andaman Sea. The first snorkelling session will commence at 10:30 am at a reef teeming with coral and tropical sea life. Lunch will be served at midday, before heading off the next snorkelling destinatio – the path taking you through the Moken Village, home to a group of people known affectionately as the ‘sea gypsies.’ After another hour and a half of reef exploration, we will depart the Surin Islands and head back to Kuraburi Pier. A private transfer will take you back to the hotel at approximately 4:45 pm. The boat will depart Surin NP at around 3:15 pm, and it will head back to Kuraburi Pier. On arrival to the pier (at approximately 4:45 pm) you will be transferred back to your hotel.
