Let me introduce myself. I am the current co-owner of Scarborough Fare in Sumner with my son Ben and wife Colette. We have had the cafe for 4 years, first day of lockdown being the first day!

Prior to this, I enjoyed a 20 odd year stint in the travel industry, owning a travel agency in Christchurch. Between the travel industry and cafe life, my wife and I have spent 3 years travelling and tending to our 40 odd bee hives in Christchurch and North Canterbury. We attended the Riccarton Farmers Market at Deans Bush selling our honey and beeswax wraps.

The most recent overseas trip was a 2 week camping/cycling down the Rhein River from Basel – Koblenz, that was great fun. When not overseas or at the cafe we love heading away exploring New Zealand on our Royal Enfield Himalayan motorbikes or 73 VW Kombi.

Lyndon will be leading our second Silk Road tour in May 2025.
