East Africa & Kenya E-visas

From 1 September 2015 Kenyan tourist visas should be obtained online (using Google Chrome) prior to arrival at this website.

If visiting Kenya, Uganda and/or Rwanda you can apply for a blanket East African Visa, introduced in April 2014. An East African visa is a blank visa which covers Uganda, Rwanda & Kenya. An East Africa visa is to be applied for from the country traveller is entering first. The holder of the East Africa Tourist visa must enter the zone from the country that issued the visa and can then move around all three countries without applying for a further visa for the other countries or paying another visa fee.

The holder shall also be allowed to leave the Uganda, Kenya & Rwanda area and return during a 90 day period from date of initial entry without having to pay for another visa.
East Africa Tourist Visas cannot be extended. If KENYA is applicant’s first point of entry to the EAV area, visa can be applied for in advance from the Kenya High Commission in Canberra. If UGANDA is applicant’s first point of entry to the EAV area, visa can be applied for in advance from the Uganda High Commission or on arrival. If RWANDA is applicant’s first point of entry to the EAV area, visa can be applied for in advance online here using Google Chrome.

If only visiting Uganda or Rwanda or Kenya you can still apply for a single entry visa for the relevant country via the Uganda or Rwanda or Kenya Embassies or on arrival
